Welcoming Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in Swanage, Purbeck, Dorset

As a result of Covid-19, it has been necessary to make a number of changes to the way in which we offer accommodation and meals.  We are detailing these below so that our Guests are aware of what to expect, which will be very different from previous visits if you have stayed with us before. These are based on the guidelines at the current time and will be revised as the situation changes.

In the event of any notification being received by ourselves that a former guest has been known to have been infected with Covid-19, we will make arrangements for the appropriate room sanitisation to be carried out and will ourselves self isolate for the 14 days.  Unfortunately, this may necessitate bookings being cancelled at short notice.  In such cases any deposit paid will immediately be refunded.

We cannot accept bookings from anyone who has been advised to self-isolate or quarantine or who may have been in contact with any person who is or may be suffering from Covid-19 during the preceeding 14 days or who is showing any symptoms whatsoever or from anyone who lives in an area which is currently subject to lockdown restrictions.

Guest and Host Responsibilities:

On arrival and before entering the property, Guests are requested to use the hand sanitiser provided in the outside porch. Common surfaces such as door handles, bells, light switches etc are regularly sanitised.

We will be wearing face masks at all times during your stay.  Rooms will remain vacant for 72 hours between bookings and only one room will be in use to ensure social distancing requirements.

We are unable to service your room in any way during your stay.  If you require replacement towels or bedding, we ask that you place used ones in the black sacks provided and leave these outside your bedroom door when you leave in the morning.  Replacements will be left for you outside your room.  A similar option will enable you to dispose of any rubbish you may have.

A check list will be provided for the replenishment of tea/coffee/milk etc and we request that you leave this in the breakfast room, together with your used crockery. Further supplies will be available for you to collect later in the day.

Soft furnishings such as cushions, throws etc have been removed from rooms to minimise the risk of contamination, as has all information literature.  We will provide our telephone numbers and will be pleased to provide any information you may need during your stay.

Restaurants and cafes in Swanage will be operating at reduced capacity so we would advise pre-booking for evening meals. There are a number of takeaway options - we are happy to lay a table for you to eat a meal in the breakfast room.

We hope you will appreciate these temporary changes are designed to reduce the risk of infection to everyone concerned and that you will still enjoy your stay with us and your visit to the many attractions of Swanage and the local Purbeck area.
